Looking pretty sad, the old PRR (CA&C) trackage is now covered in dense brush, seeing no use since the 1980's. This is looking south from McCauley Rd in Stow towards Cuyahoga Falls. The Port Authority of Summit County (PASC) owns this line in hopes to restore it in the future. Chances are pretty slim. The village of Silver Lake, just south of here, does not want this line back in operation. This area on the line was known as "Golly" and a defect detector used to be located here, but has long since met it's fate. |
